Yao Qiao is a Senior Materials Scientist III at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, with previous experience as a Materials Scientist II and Postdoctoral Research Associate. Yao has also worked as a Research/Teaching Assistant at the University of Washington and as a Research Assistant at Northwestern University. Yao earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Applied Mechanics from the University of Washington (2016-2021) and a Master of Science (MSc) in Structural Engineering and Infrastructure Materials from Northwestern University (2014-2015).
