Joshua Pearson has worked in a variety of roles since 2002. From 2002 to 2004, they worked as a Technician at Quest Solution, where they cleaned, built, upgraded, and repaired wireless barcode scanners, and documented the number of parts used. In 2007, they became a Life Enrichment Specialist II at Albertina Kerr Centers. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as an Independent Contractor for Safeguard Business Systems. During this time, they also held a Software Engineer Intern position at Intel Corporation through Business Education Compact, where they developed two Windows 8 Store App identity protection applications. In 2011, they held a Residential Aide position at Harmony Housing Inc. From 2014 to 2017, they worked as a Courier at SST Package Express, and from 2017 to 2018, they were a Service Technician - Supervisor at Fry's Electronics, providing technical assistance and advice in an open air environment. Finally, since 2018, they have been a Technical Support Lead at Paladin Data Corporation, managing Firebird and SQL Server databases and repairing database corruption.

Joshua Pearson has a history of educational experience. Joshua attended Portland State University from 2013 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelors of Applied Science in Computer Science. Prior to that, they attended ITT Technical Institute from 2011 to 2012, where they obtained an Associate in Applied Science in Software Development Technology. Joshua also completed coursework in Computer Programming at Lane Community College from 2006 to 2007. More recently, they obtained an Associate's Degree in AAS Computer Science Transfer to PSU from Clackamas Community College in 2016. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED from Cascade CPR & First Aid, LLC in December 2021, and CompTIA A+ Certification from CompTIA in May 2017.
