Kent Lineberry

Kent Lineberry works as an Educational Representative for Palen Music Center, serving the KC Metro. In the past, he has served as an assistant band director (director of the percussion) for Blue Springs High School, Brittany Hill Middle School, and Paul Kinder Middle School, in the Blue Springs School District. He also previously served as an assistant band director (director of the percussion) at Rockwood Summit High School and Rockwood South Middle School. He is an artist for Pearl Drums, Sabian Cymbals, Evans Drumheads, and Innovative Percussion sticks and mallets.

Kent is a consultant for the Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps (2020 to present) and served as one of the lead staff members and instructors for Gateway Indoor Percussion from 2005 through 2011. He also served on the percussion staff of the Colts Drum & Bugle Corps from 2000 to 2005, 2007, 2017-2019, and on the percussion staff of The Crossmen Drum & Bugle Corps in 2010. He served the Spirit of Atlanta Drum & Bugle Corps as a percussion program consultant in 2015.

Kent has also been involved with many other successful high school percussion programs, including Jefferson City High School, O’Fallon Township High School (where he served as assistant marching band director), and Parkway South High School. He has served as a clinician and consultant for the 37th Kingswood Drum & Bugle Corps from Bristol, England.

He has been a percussion and visual adjudicator throughout the Midwest for two decades and writes drill and staging for competitive marching bands and indoor drumlines. Kent has also been fortunate enough to teach clinics on percussion in the Midwest and in Europe. He served on the Percussion Advisory Board for WGI in 2009. He also served as the Vice President (2012 - 2014) and as President (2014 - 2016) of the Missouri Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society.
