Liza Wishney has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Liza started their career as a Literacy and Social Studies Teacher at the NYC Department of Education in 2013. Liza then held roles as a District 75 SETSS Provider and an Instructional Coach before becoming an Assistant Principal. Liza worked at the NYC Department of Education until 2020, when they joined Irvington UFSD as an Assistant Principal at Dows Lane Elementary School. In 2022, Liza transitioned to Panorama Education, where they initially served as a Senior Professional Learning Manager before being promoted to the role of Professional Learning Director in 2023. Additionally, they worked as a Lead Summer Literacy Teacher for 2nd and 3rd grade students at DREAM (formerly Harlem RBI) in 2012 and 2016.
Liza Wishney holds a Master of Science degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Hunter College, which they obtained from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Arts degree in Severe/Multiple Disabilities from Teachers College, Columbia University, between 2012 and 2014. Liza began their education journey with a Bachelor of Science degree in Inclusive Elementary and Special Education from Syracuse University from 2008 to 2012.
