Field CISO at Panther

Ken Westin began their work experience as a Web Manager & Adjunct Instructor of Computer Science at Pacific University from May 2002 to September 2004. Ken then worked as a Web Application Developer at Tektronix from May 2004 to August 2005. Ken proceeded to work at Centennial Software, serving as a Web Manager & Security Analyst from August 2005 to March 2008. Following this, they founded GadgetTrak Inc., where they served as Founder/CEO/CTO from February 2007 to March 2012. Ken developed and launched the GadgetTrak product, securing a patent for the technology. The company received $1M in venture capital, and Ken oversaw Product Management, Marketing, and Sales, leading a team of ten employees.

Ken then worked at Tripwire as a Senior Security Analyst in the Office of the CTO from March 2012 to November 2015. Ken then worked at Elastic as Director of Competitive Intelligence & Security Strategy from April 2019 to September 2021. Ken'sresponsibilities included competitive analysis, as well as developing and executing security strategies.

Subsequently, Ken joined Cybereason in October 2021 as the Director of Security Strategy. Ken held this role until November 2022, focusing on security strategy development.

Currently, Ken Westin is employed at Panther as a Security Strategist starting from November 2022. Ken will be transitioning to the role of Field CISO in April 2023, demonstrating their expertise and experience in the cybersecurity field.

Ken Westin has a diverse education history. Ken holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Internet Systems Development from the University of Portsmouth. Additionally, they have pursued studies in Computer Science at Pacific University and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from Lewis & Clark College.
