Eric Hogberg

Eric Hogberg has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Eric currently works as the Director of Engineering at Papa, starting in 2022. Prior to this, they worked at OppFi from 2018 to 2022, where they held various positions including Senior Director of Engineering and Development Manager of Backend Systems. In these roles, they were responsible for managing multiple teams involved in designing, building, and supporting software systems.

Before OppFi, Eric worked at OpinionLab, A Verint Company from 2012 to 2017. Here, they served as the Director of Tools Frameworks & Quality and was involved in the full-stack engineering and support of product technology. Eric also acted as the Interim Manager of Software Development, overseeing all development activities and addressing staffing and progress tracking.

Prior to OpinionLab, Eric worked at the College of American Pathologists as an Enterprise Architect from 2006 to 2011. Here, they played a significant role in the evaluation and implementation of new systems using technologies such as Ruby on Rails and Postgres.

Earlier in their career, Eric worked at Information Resources as an Architect, where they led a technology transformation initiative. Eric also worked at Accenture as a Senior Technology Specialist, designing and supporting web-based systems for Fortune 100 clients. Eric also has experience as a Manager of Course Systems Technology at UNext and as a Senior Consultant at Xpedior.

In their early career, Eric worked at Interactive Resources as a Senior Programmer/Client Services Engineer, involved in dynamic website programming and the development of content authoring and publishing systems.

Eric's work experience demonstrates a strong background in engineering, management, and system architecture across various industries.

Eric Hogberg attended Illinois State University from 1985 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Music.
