Jamie Branch, P.E. has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering.
Jamie started their career as a Robotics Engineer at Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, where they worked on developing and fabricating a new form of robot under the mentorship of a postdoctoral fellow.
They then joined the University of Kansas Experimental Joint Biomechanics Research Laboratory as an Undergraduate Researcher, where they conducted research on biomechanics.
Afterwards, Jamie worked at Chevron Phillips Chemical Company as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where they designed mechanical systems for a brief period.
They later rejoined Chevron Phillips Chemical Company as a Mechanical Reliability Engineer, taking on responsibilities such as performing reliability, maintenance, and mechanical design work for equipment and mechanical systems. Jamie also developed and implemented action items to improve equipment performance and mechanical integrity, and recommended strategies for reducing maintenance expenditures.
Jamie then joined Fulbright New Zealand as a US Fulbright Scholar and Whitaker Fellow. During this time, Jamie utilized reflective sensors and infrared camera systems to convert 3D motion from the physical world to the digital environment, with the aim of improving mobility for individuals with cerebral palsy.
Subsequently, they worked at Apellix - The Safety Partner for the Technological Revolution as a Mechanical Engineer, before finally landing a role at Par Pacific Holdings, Inc. Currently, Jamie holds the position of Reliability Engineering Superintendent, where they oversee reliability engineering operations.
Jamie Branch, P.E. earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Kansas, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. After completing their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Masters of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Auckland from 2014 to 2015. In addition to their educational achievements, Jamie Branch, P.E. holds several certifications including being a licensed pilot for unmanned aircraft under 14 CFR Part 107 from the Federal Aviation Administration, obtained in July 2018. They are also a Professional Engineer with certification from NCEES, obtained in July 2018. Jamie Branch, P.E. holds a NACE Coating Inspector Level 1 certification from NACE International, obtained in November 2017, as well as an ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 Training Certification from ASME (The American Society of Mechanical Engineers), obtained in June 2016.
