Thomas Gutwein

Thomas Gutwein, MD, is board certified in emergency medicine and has worked as an emergency medicine physician at Parkview Health since 1993. He has served as the emergency department medical director since 2000. In his role, he partners with Trent Miller, senior vice president, to lead the overall strategy, planning, and growth of Parkview Health’s emergency and inpatient services.

Dr. Gutwein earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind. He earned a medical degree from Indiana University, Indianapolis, Ind., and completed the Emergency Medicine Residency program at the Methodist Hospital of Indianapolis.
