Pierre Saëlins

Pierre Saëlins has extensive work experience in the field of Machine Learning and Computer Vision. Pierre is currently working at Partium.io as a Senior Machine Learning Scientist, where they are responsible for spare part search and recognition. Pierre has also implemented a text search engine using Elasticsearch and Kibana.

Prior to their current role, Pierre worked at Catchoom as a Machine Learning Scientist. Here, they conducted deep learning research for computer vision applications, specifically in object classification and detection using convolutional neural networks. Pierre also gained experience in generative frameworks such as GANs and VAEs for representation learning.

Pierre's career began with an internship at the Computer Vision Center, where they worked on pedestrian detection for autonomous cars. Pierre focused on method improvement and development using Fisher vectors.

Additionally, Pierre has previous work experience at BSH Home Appliances Group, where they completed a student internship.

Pierre Saëlins completed their education at two different institutions. Subsequently, from 2014 to 2017, they attended Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III - UPSSITECH école d'ingénieurs, where they earned a Diplôme d'ingénieur in Systèmes Robotiques Intéractifs.
