Irina Polanco Ventura

Irina Polanco Ventura has a diverse and extensive work experience. Irina began their career in 2002 as a Medical Interpreter at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. From 2004 to 2005, they worked as a Lifestyle Counselor at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In 2006, Irina held the position of Project Director for the Northern Manhattan Exercise Project at Columbia University Medical Center. Irina then worked as an Associate Director for Community Voices at Columbia University in the City of New York from September 2006 to January 2007. Following this, they joined the Northern New Jersey Maternal Child Health Consortium in 2008 as a Program Coordinator for the Perinatal Mood Disorders Initiative. Irina's most recent experience includes working at the Partnership for Maternal & Child Health of Northern New Jersey. Irina started in July 2012 as a Program Manager for the Perinatal Mood Disorders Initiative and later assumed the role of Director of Public Health Initiatives in September 2019.

Irina Polanco Ventura attended The Bronx High School of Science from 1994 to 1997. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Physical Therapy/Therapist from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra, which they completed between 1997 and 2001. Later on, from 2004 to 2006, Irina continued their education at Teachers College, Columbia University, where they earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Health Education and Behavior.
