Ilan Rotenberg

Ilan Rotenberg has a diverse work experience across multiple industries. Ilan started their career at Profile Industries, where they worked as an Engineering Trainee for a year. Ilan then moved on to BOS MTB Suspensions, where they served as a Technical Customer Service Manager, responsible for managing customer inquiries and updating product documentation. Later, Ilan joined The University of British Columbia as a Graduate Research Assistant for a few months.

After that, Ilan joined Kai Concepts as a Contract Project Engineer, contributing to various engineering projects. Ilan then co-founded Teachr.me, a digital tool aimed at simplifying marking group oral assessments for teachers.

In 2018, Ilan started working at Cority, initially as a Product Analyst in the Environmental domain, and then as a Product Analyst in Business Intelligence. In their role as a Product Manager in Business Intelligence and Analytics, Ilan focused on understanding user needs and acted as the user voice in the development process. Ilan worked on projects such as embedding an OEM Business Intelligence tool and enabling Cority dashboards on a mobile progressive web application.

Most recently, Ilan joined Passport as a Product Manager and quickly advanced to the position of Senior Product Manager. Currently, they are the Director of Product Management at Passport, where they oversee the strategic direction and management of product development efforts.

Ilan completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto, where they studied from 2007 to 2012.

Ilan then pursued a Masters of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering at The University of British Columbia from 2015 to 2016.

In addition to their formal education, Ilan also obtained various certifications. In January 2019, they earned a certification in "Querying Data with Transact-SQL" from GK Library.com- General Knowledge Website. In April 2018, they obtained a "Pragmatic Marketing Foundation - Level 1" certification from Pragmatic Marketing. Furthermore, in January 2018, they completed a course on "Machine Learning" from Coursera. Most recently, in December 2020, Ilan earned a certification called "Product Management Gain It" from Co.Lab | You Belong in Tech, and in August 2020, they completed the "Enlight Cohort Intro to Web Development" course from Enlight.
