Michael Howe

SVP Engineering at PatchRx

Michael Howe has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. In 2007, they were a Research Programmer at The University of Texas at Austin, where they developed machine learning systems for use in scientific experiments. In 2009, they became a Contract Programmer at Ticom Geomatics. In 2010, they joined Cisco as a Senior Research Engineer and Senior Software Engineer. In 2016, they founded Edage Learning, which seeks to improve student learning by bridging current research in cognitive modeling with modern data science. In 2017, they joined Kixer, Inc. as a Senior Data Scientist and Olono as a Principal Data Scientist. In 2019, they became a Data Scientist at Event Dynamic. In 2020, they joined SubjectWell as an Associate Director of Analytics and Guideline as a Staff Data Scientist. Most recently, they are the SVP Engineering at PatchRx.

Michael Howe's education history includes a PhD (Incomplete) in Computer Science and Cognitive Science from the University of Colorado Boulder from 2001 to 2006, a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin from 1995 to 1998, and a BS in Zoology/Animal Biology from The University of Texas at Austin from 1995 to 1998. Prior to that, they attended the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science from 1993 to 1995.
