Franchise Head, Precision Oncology at PathAI

Hisani (Horne) Madison, PhD, MPH has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and research fields. Hisani (Horne) is currently working at PathAI as the Franchise Head, Precision Oncology, where they develop and drives the commercial strategy for digital pathology products in the oncology space. Hisani (Horne) is responsible for identifying and refining strategic product development opportunities and leading the Oncology Commercial franchise team.

Hisani gained experience at the FDA as a Senior Scientific Reviewer and Scientific Reviewer. Hisani (Horne)'sresponsibilities included evaluating scientific data and reviewing in vitro diagnostic devices and companion diagnostic devices. Hisani (Horne) served as the lead reviewer for important approvals, such as the first direct-to-consumer test for BRCA mutations and diagnostic devices like BRACAnalysis CDx and FoundationFocus CDx. Hisani (Horne) also co-authored an FDA approval summary manuscript on Niraparib for the treatment of recurrent ovarian cancer.

Earlier in their career, Hisani worked as a Special Volunteer in the National Cancer Institute's Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics. Hisani (Horne) conducted molecular epidemiology research on breast cancer risk and prognosis, published research studies, and managed multiple research projects. Hisani (Horne) also served as a Post-doctoral Fellow in the Cancer Prevention Fellowship Program, where they managed research projects and led a large, international breast cancer consortium project.

Hisani began their research career as a Graduate Researcher at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Duke University. Hisani (Horne)'sresearch focused on the genetic and epigenetic mechanisms of breast and ovarian cancer, assessing differences in cancer survival among patients with various molecular characteristics and treatment modalities.

Hisani (Horne) Madison, PhD, MPH completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Hampton University from 2000 to 2004. Following this, they pursued further education at Duke University, where they obtained a PhD in Pathology, studying from 2004 to 2010. To further enhance their knowledge in the field, they pursued a Master of Public Health degree specializing in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at The Johns Hopkins University from 2010 to 2011.
