Job Summary:
A Telecom Aerial Lineman / Trainer is proficient in the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunication systems that utilize aerial infrastructure across various locations within the continental US, including but may not be limited to Vermont, Utah, and the greater mid-Atlantic region. Weekly travel to various Patriot operation locations is required. As an experienced lineman, you are responsible for the successful execution of projects by completing the work independently or by providing comprehensive training to our team of aerial linemen. A traveling Telecom Aerial Lineman / Trainer will have a strong background in telecommunications, particularly in aerial lineman operations, along with exceptional teaching and communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Completion of aerial lineman school or equivalent skills-based certification program.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a telecom aerial lineman, with expertise in aerial HFC Plant Architecture.
Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, including aerial construction methods, equipment, and safety protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
Willingness to travel extensively to different job sites, weekly, sometimes for extended periods, and adapt to varying work conditions and environments.
Certifications such as OSHA 10/30, CPR/First Aid, and Competent Climber/Rescuer highly desirable.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Able to successfully pass pre-employment and random drug screenings and physical as required for the role.
Must be able to obtain and hold a DOT medical card.
Ability to speak and read English fluently; Spanish as a second language is beneficial.
