Rob Hranac has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Rob began their career as an Analyst at MITRE in 1996 before transitioning to Cambridge Systematics as a Software Engineer in 1998. At Cambridge Systematics, Rob developed software for enterprise infrastructure management systems and managed software projects and analytics professional services.

In 2001, Rob became the Executive Director at The Open Planning Project, where they played a pivotal role in creating the organization focused on making geospatial data accessible. Rob set the strategic direction, built the first software products, and hired the engineering and leadership team.

Rob returned to Cambridge Systematics in 2003, this time as a Senior Associate. Rob led a major research program on simulation modeling and served as a key business development resource for the firm. As a Senior Associate, Rob managed large-scale client engagements.

In 2006, Rob joined Berkeley Transportation Systems, Inc. as their Vice President. Rob served as the business development lead for the analytics firm and developed product requirements and go-to-market plans. Rob managed the consulting group and led major client engagements.

In 2011, Rob moved to Iteris, Inc. as the Vice President of Analytics. In this role, they were the post-acquisition business development leader for their integrated analytics platform. Rob managed the professional services team and led the software product team.

Starting in 2015, Rob worked at Swift Navigation, first as an Advisor and later as the Chief Operating Officer. As part of the leadership team, they led early-stage product strategy and later scaled out global operations. Swift Navigation provides high precision navigation technology that enables autonomous vehicles to navigate and understand the world.

Currently, Rob is the Chief Executive Officer and Board Member at Pattern Ag, a company leveraging advances in metagenomics to create a next-generation computational agriculture platform. Rob'srole involves leading the company and bringing predictive insights in soil biology to unlock grower productivity and profitability.

Rob Hranac holds a Master of Science degree in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Boston University.
