Eric Hovey, CFA, has extensive work experience in the finance industry. Eric started their career as a Fixed Income Trader at Merrill Lynch, where they facilitated trade execution for institutional clients. Eric then joined Payden & Rygel, where they held various roles, including Director & Senior Portfolio Manager, Senior Vice President & Senior Portfolio Manager, and Senior Vice President & Senior Strategist. In these roles, they were responsible for managing institutional client relationships, developing investment plans, monitoring market conditions, and representing the firm in client meetings. Additionally, Eric worked as an Instructor at CFA LA, teaching fixed income at Level 1.

Eric Hovey, CFA, obtained their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a concentration in Finance and Accounting from Washington University in St. Louis, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Prior to that, they attended Walnut Hills High School from 1993 to 1999. In addition to their formal education, Eric holds additional certifications including the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute, along with the Series 66 and Series 7 certifications from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
