Deepa Zacharias

Deepa Zacharias currently serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at PayU, beginning in January 2024. With over two decades of experience in HR leadership, Deepa previously held significant positions at Amazon Web Services (AWS), including Director of Talent and Development for the Asia Pacific, Japan, and China regions, where a focus was placed on executive capacity, organizational effectiveness, and culture. As the first regional HR Director for AWS, Deepa architected the HR function, facilitating extensive growth in revenue and headcount. Earlier roles include Organization & Talent Development Manager at GE Healthcare, Senior Manager of HR at Amazon.com, where Deepa played a key role in establishing HR functions in India and Singapore, and Manager of HR at Accenture, leading various HR initiatives. Deepa began the HR career at Satyam Computer Services Limited after earning a degree from Xavier Institute of Management.
