Austin James has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Austin started their career in 2008 as an Inactive Collection Specialist at Texas Power, where they excelled in debt collection and provided exceptional customer service. In 2010, they joined the City of Lancaster, TX as a Community Relations Assistant, where they supported community members and created digital and print publications.

In 2012, Austin became the Marketing and Sales Director at the Firewalking Institute of Research and Education, where they managed all marketing publications and sales of training seminars. Austin also founded Affinity Pictures LLC, a professional photography and videography company, during this time.

Austin then transitioned to the role of Assistant Manager at Kirkland's, where they gained comprehensive management experience while completing their Associates Degree. In 2013, they returned to the City of Lancaster, TX as the Community Relations Lead, serving as the primary liaison between the organization and the community and coordinating special events.

In 2016, Austin took on the role of Marketing Director at both ADASTAFF, Inc. and PDQ Staffing, Inc. In addition, at PDQ Staffing, they also worked as a Marketing Coordinator responsible for promoting the company and maintaining its web presence. Austin James obtained a Bachelor's degree in Art and Design Management from the University of North Texas, where they studied from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, they attended Tarrant County College from 2007 to 2014 and earned an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Fine/Studio Arts, General. In May 2021, Austin obtained a Contextual Marketing Certification from HubSpot Academy.
