Mardus Uys

Mardus Uys is a seasoned commercial and financial management professional with extensive experience in the energy and mining sectors. Currently serving as the Commercial Manager at Peabody Energy since April 2012, Mardus oversees the Commercial Department, focusing on the achievement and improvement of performance objectives. Prior to this role, Mardus was the Divisional Accounting Manager at OneSteel, where responsibilities included providing financial support and managing consolidated results for the Whyalla Operation from April 2009 to March 2012. Mardus also held key positions at BHPBilliton as Finance and Admin Manager and Finance Superintendent, managing various departments and ensuring reporting accuracy. Educational achievements include a BCom Honours in Business Management from UNISA and a BComm in Financial Management from North-West University.
