We are seeking an Associate Portfolio Manager to assist in investment research activities for the Pender Alternative Absolute Return Fund. From a base in credit markets, the fund is a flexible mandate that can invest across capital structures, taking both long and short positions to isolate market inefficiencies and hedge unwanted risks. The fund is focused on liquid North American capital markets. Based in Vancouver, the position will be hybrid with a mix of office and remote work. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the success of this new and growing fund, identifying investment opportunities as well as contributing to regular portfolio maintenance and fund reporting requirements.

We are sharing that the estimated salary range for this position is $125,000 - $160,000 per year. In determining final salary, Pender considers many factors including the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, job responsibilities, market conditions, position location and internal equity. Our aim is to ensure fair compensation practices that align with industry standards while acknowledging the unique value and expertise each individual brings to the role. The final base salary for the offer will be at the Company’s sole discretion and presented as part of a competitive compensation package.
