Laura Risser, CPCU has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry. Laura started their career in 1984 as a CSR at Stine Davis & Peck Insurance. Laura then moved on to Wright-Gardner Insurance, Inc. where they worked as a Commercial Account Manager from 1989 to 1994. Following that, they joined Brethren Mutual Insurance Company and held various roles including Commercial Production Underwriter, Commercial Underwriting Manager, and Commerical Lines System Coordinator from 1994 to 2008. In 2008, they started working at Penn National Insurance as an MD Commercial Lines Territory Manager and later became a Business Development Manager from 2016 to 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Director, National Accounts and Agency Management at Penn National Insurance, where they are responsible for providing leadership and guidance in support of regional offices, national agents, and large networks in achieving production and profitability goals. Laura also handles the strategic and relationship management of large national agents and networks.

Laura Risser, CPCU, holds an Associate in Arts degree in Business Administration and Management from Hagerstown Business College, which they obtained from 1982 to 1984. Prior to that, Laura obtained their High School Diploma in Accounting and Business/Management from Greencastle-Antrim High School, which they completed from 1978 to 1982.

In addition to their education, Laura has obtained several certifications. Laura holds a CPCU in Good Standing from The Institutes, which they obtained in August 2020. Laura also has the Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI) certification from The Institutes, as well as the Accredited Adviser in Insurance (AAI) and CIC from Insurance Agents & Brokers.
