Jeanette Gibbs

SVP, Ambulatory Services, Penn State Health Medical Group at Penn State Health

As senior vice president for ambulatory services, Jeanette Gibbs oversees Penn State Health Medical Group’s administrative functions, including staffing, performance, patient experience, quality and safety. Gibbs joined Penn State Health Medical Group in 2018 as vice president for community practice.

She began her career at University of Maryland School of Medicine as division administrator for five clinical divisions and one research center in the Department of Pediatrics. Gibbs then served as assistant administrator for finance and research at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine’s Neurology and Neurosurgery departments. She was subsequently recruited to Howard University to lead its Faculty Practice Plan. She was promoted to associate vice president of administration and operations, where she oversaw the four Health Sciences colleges and developed operational and administrative efficiencies that provided improved financial outcomes. She later became chief operating officer and chief financial officer for the University of Maryland Community Medical Group.
