Andrew Austen has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Andrew began their career as a Personal Banker at Barclays in 2003. From there, they worked at International Financial Data Services (IFDS) as a Client Accounting professional. Andrew then joined BNP Paribas as a Fund Accountant before moving to Pension Insurance Corporation as an Investment Operations Analyst. Andrew then joined Man Group, where they worked in Middle Office Accounting before returning to Pension Insurance Corporation in various roles, including Derivatives Operations Analyst, Senior Derivatives Operations Analyst, and finally, Head of Investment & Derivative Operations.
Andrew Austen has a diverse education history. From 1997 to 2002, they attended The Barstable School, where they studied various subjects. Andrew then went on to Seevic College from 2004 to 2007 and earned an NVQ Level 4 in AAT (Accounting). In 2007, Andrew enrolled at The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI) and obtained an IAQ (Investment Administration Qualification) by 2009. From 2009 to 2014, they pursued an Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) degree at ACCA. Andrew continued their accounting education from 2012 to 2014 and received an Oxford Brooks Degree in Applied Accounting. Andrew furthered their knowledge in investments and securities by completing an IMC - Investment Management Certificate at The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (The CISI) from 2015 to 2016. Lastly, they enrolled in the CFA Institute from 2017 to 2019 and is currently a CFA Level 3 Candidate focusing on investments and securities.
