Shirantha Peiris

Shirantha Peiris is a seasoned professional in the field of cybersecurity with extensive experience across several organizations. Currently serving as Cyber Security Manager at People in Need since November 2022, Shirantha previously held positions including Head of Information Security at Mobitel (Pvt) Ltd, Senior Manager Cyber Security at Unified National Networks (UNN), and Consultant/Head of Information Security Management at Telekom Brunei Berhad. Shirantha's expertise includes developing and implementing robust information security frameworks, overseeing security architecture, and managing compliance with ISO 27001 standards. Earlier roles included Senior Security Architect at the Roads and Transport Authority and Manager of Enterprise IT Security at Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company. Shirantha holds an MBA from the Postgraduate Institute of Management and a BSc (Eng) Hons in Electronics & Telecommunications from the University of Moratuwa.
