Justin Gehr

As a Senior Software Engineer on People Connect’s data services team, Justin Gehr works on programming the products to reliably deliver large amounts of data at rapid speeds.

Originally from Chicago, Justin decided to make a move to the mountains in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It doesn’t hurt that Chattanooga is also home to the fastest internet in the United States ( a major perk for someone whose livelihood revolves around programming).

His interest in programming dates back to his younger years when he was a kid who dreamed about creating video games. He went on to study environmental science at the University of Michigan, but ultimately pursued a career in software engineering.

What excites Justin about his job? The rush that comes with solving complex problems. Luckily, complicated undertakings are plentiful in the software engineering space. He was excited to join the People Connect team and get the opportunity to work on really cool problems using an exciting tech stack. He was also drawn to the team’s positive energy, easy-going attitudes, and big smiles.
