Dr. Gregory Canillas

Dr. Gregory Canillas is an accomplished psychologist and educator currently serving as an Alumni Councilor on the UCSC Alumni Council and as Executive Board President for This is Jane Project. With extensive experience in various educational institutions, Dr. Canillas holds positions as Adjunct Faculty at Pepperdine University and Associate Professor at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, alongside a notable tenure as Core Faculty at National University. As Chief Executive Officer of both Canillas-King and Soul 2 Soul Global, Dr. Canillas focuses on operational oversight and relationship solutions, including facilitating LGBTQ+ couples retreats. Recognition includes a membership on the American Psychological Association's Task Force on Psychological Practice with Sexual Minority Persons, contributing to significant guidelines in the field. Additional community engagement includes serving as Co-Chair and Commissioner for the Youth & Family Commission in Long Beach. Dr. Canillas earned a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University and has a diverse academic background in the field of psychology.
