Janiel Ahkin Chin Tai

Janiel Ahkin Chin Tai is a TDC engineer at PepsiCo since August 2021, previously serving as a PhD candidate at Purdue University from 2017 to August 2021. Prior to this role, Janiel gained experience as a scientific affairs intern at PepsiCo in June 2020, where responsibilities included reviewing a GRAS document and collaborating on a cross-functional intern project focused on consumer needs. Janiel’s academic background includes a PhD in Toxicology from Purdue University, and a BS in Biology from Florida International University, along with an AA in Chemistry from the College Academy at Broward College. Additionally, Janiel participated in a post baccalaureate program at PREP, engaging in conferences and workshops to enhance knowledge in scientific research and networking, with research concentrated on bone biology and the impact of estradiol and estrogen receptor beta on bone mass and architecture.
