Miguel Rodas

Miguel Rodas has a range of experience in the data engineering and analysis field. Miguel most recently worked as an SDE II Data Engineer at Perch Insights starting in April 2023. Prior to that, they were a Data Engineer Specialist at ScotiaTech starting in April 2022. Miguel also has teaching experience, having worked as an SQL Teacher and Data Analyst Teacher at Coderhouse from June 2021 to March 2023. Before that, they held a role as a Business Intelligence Developer at SoftwareONE from August 2021 to April 2022. Miguel's earlier experience includes a position as a Business Intelligence & Workforce Supervisor at Webhelp OneLink from October 2018 to July 2021.

Miguel Rodas began their education journey in 2011 when they enrolled at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. Miguel pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and completed their studies in 2016. Additionally, from 2014 to 2016, Miguel attended the Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje (SENA) where they obtained an Associate's degree in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology.

In terms of certifications, Miguel has acquired a diverse range of qualifications. In 2023, they obtained the "Astronomer Certification for Apache Airflow Fundamentals" from Astronomer, as well as the "SQL Advanced" certification from HackerRank. In 2022, they completed the "Analyzing Big Data with Hive" course on LinkedIn, along with the "Curso de Fundamentos de Spark para Big Data," "Elasticsearch Essential Training," and "Curso Básico de Manipulación y Transformación de Datos con Pandas y NumPy" courses on Platzi. Prior to that, in 2021, Miguel obtained various certifications, including the "Curso Básico de Python" on Platzi, the "Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate" from Microsoft, "Data Analytics" from Coderhouse, "Introduction to Data Modeling" from SQLBI, and "Learning Data Analytics" and "Power BI Essential Training" on LinkedIn.

Miguel's earliest certifications date back to 2016, when they achieved the "Cisco Certified Network Associate Industrial (CCNA I)" and "Cisco IT Essentials V5" certifications from Cisco. The most recent certification they obtained is the "dbt Fundamentals" from dbt Labs in 2023.
