Assoc Director - Employee Experience at Perch

Lucinda Bowen has a diverse work experience spanning roles in various industries. Lucinda began their career at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where they held positions such as Senior Manager and Leadership Developer, Mid-Level Manager and Leadership Coach, and Veterans Service Representative. During their time there, they managed teams, developed training programs, and processed disability benefits for veterans.

Lucinda then transitioned to roles in non-profit organizations, working as a Writer, Reporter, and Editor for The Harvard Press, as well as serving on the Board of Directors for The Barn School. In these positions, they contributed to local news reporting, conducted interviews, and implemented financial controls.

In the corporate sector, Lucinda has held positions at Cumberland Farms and EG America, focusing on talent management, leadership development, and employee experience. At Perch, a Boston-based e-commerce startup, they served as the Associate Director of Employee Experience and later as the Senior HR - Head of Employee Experience. In these roles, they led initiatives related to learning and development, coaching, rewards and recognition, culture, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Throughout their career, Lucinda has also pursued freelance opportunities as a creative writing coach and group facilitator.

Lucinda holds a degree in Organizational Psychology from William James College and has previous experience as a Summer Research Assistant at Grinnell College, where they conducted research and presented findings at a sociology conference.

Lucinda Bowen has a diverse education history. Lucinda obtained a Masters degree in Organizational Psychology from William James College, which they attended from 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology and Religious Studies from Grinnell College, from 1996 to 2000. Additionally, Lucinda received a Regents Honors Diploma from Shoreham Wading River High School, which they attended from 1992 to 1996.

In terms of additional certifications, Lucinda obtained a certificate in "Asking for Feedback as an Employee" from LinkedIn in November 2021.
