Douglas Miller, SPHR, SHRM-SCP

Douglas Miller, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, has extensive work experience in human resources and leadership development.

Douglas currently serves as the SVP of People & Culture at Percona, where they provide software, support, consulting, and managed services solutions for MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MariaDB. Douglas is responsible for delivering support, managed services, and consulting to over 3,000 clients worldwide.

Prior to their current role, Miller worked as an HR and Leadership Expert at HR Focus Point, Inc., where they focused on motivational speaking opportunities. Douglas also worked as the Sr. Director and Head of Human Resources at iZotope, Inc., an audio technology and software development company. In this role, they advised the executive team, developed HR strategies, and played a key role in the company's expansion, including opening offices in Tokyo and Berlin.

Miller also held the positions of Director of Global Human Resources at Mobiquity, Inc., Strategic Human Resources Consultant (contract) at HR Focus Point, Inc., Vice President Global Human Resources at Vantage Deluxe World Travel, Director of Human Resources (contractor) at Eduventures, Vice President Human Resources at Catalyst, Vice President Global Human Resources at Yankee Group Research, and Director of Human Resources at Target Software.

Throughout their career, Miller has demonstrated expertise in leadership development, cultural transformation, talent management, organizational development, and HR systems optimization. Douglas has also engaged in speaking engagements, community outreach, and organizational branding efforts.

Douglas Miller, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with a focus on Marketing, from Northern Arizona University. Douglas completed their undergraduate studies between the years of 1990 and 1995. In addition to their Bachelor's degree, Miller has obtained two certifications. In December 2004, they received the Senior Professional in Human Resources® (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI. In May 2015, Miller obtained the SHRM-SCP certification from the SHRM Certification.
