Mike Benshoof

Mike Benshoof has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Mike started their career at Tulsa Cash Register as a Service Technician in 2007. Mike then moved on to ONEsite, where they worked as a Web Developer from August 2007 to May 2009, followed by a role as a Database Administrator from May 2009 to April 2012. At ONEsite, they gained experience in web development and database administration.

In 2012, Mike joined Percona as a Senior Consultant. In this role, they assisted clients with various MySQL issues, provided architecture and design recommendations, and contributed to open source projects and the MySQL Performance Blog. Mike held this position until November 2015 when they transitioned to the role of Technical Account Manager at Percona. As a TAM, they focused on building long-term client relationships, understanding their environments, and serving as their primary advocate. Mike worked to ensure the success of clients by managing interactions with various groups and maximizing the value added to their organizations.

In addition to their work at Percona, Mike also worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Moore Norman Technology Center starting in January 2020.

Mike Benshoof attended the University of Oklahoma from 2000 to 2006, where they studied Computer Science and Math. Mike did not obtain a specific degree during this time. In addition to their university education, Mike has obtained several certifications. In December 2019, they became Microsoft Certified in Azure Fundamentals. In October 2017, they obtained the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate certification, and in April 2018, they obtained the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect - Professional certification.
