Dustin Lang

Dustin Lang is a Computational Scientist at Perimeter Institute since September 2018, where responsibilities include research in cosmology with galaxy surveys and supporting researchers with advanced computing resources through the Technology Services team. Prior experience includes a Research Associate position at the University of Toronto from September 2015 to September 2018, and serving as a McWilliams Postdoctoral Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University from September 2012 to September 2015, focusing on statistical analysis of large datasets, image analysis, generative models, probabilistic inference, Bayesian statistics, and sampling. Additionally, Dustin Lang was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Princeton University from September 2009 to September 2012, developing software for astronomical image analysis related to the Large Synoptic Survey Telescope. Educational background includes a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Toronto (2005-2009) and an MSc in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia (2002-2004).
