Ann-Marie Engdahl has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ann-Marie started their career as a Market Analyst at Ericsson Mobile Communications in 1997, before moving on to become a Project Manager in Marketing and Communications at Ericsson in 1999. After that, they joined Hewlett-Packard as a Trade Marketing Manager in 2000. In 2001, they transitioned to working as a Consumer Insight Specialist and Qualitative & Quantitative Researcher at Augur Insiktsbyrån / Augur Marknadsanalys. In 2014, they became the Consumer Insight Manager at Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Sverige, responsible for establishing structured insight collection and conducting various research initiatives. In 2015, they became a Seniorkonsult at Novus Group International AB. Currently, Ann-Marie is the Director of Customer Insights at Permobil, where they have been working since 2017.

Ann-Marie Engdahl completed their Master's degree in business economics with a focus on marketing and marketing management from Uppsala University. Ann-Marie attended this institution from 1993 to 1997. In 1996 and 1997, Ann-Marie also participated in an Erasmus exchange program at Friedrich Schiller University Jena. During this time, they studied subjects such as business economics, international management, organizational psychology, and history (economic).
