L. Michael Bogert has held a variety of positions in the legal field over the past 25 years. In 1995, they began as the Chief Deputy Legal Affairs Secretary at the Office of the Governor. In 1998, they moved to the Office of Governor-Elect Dirk Kempthorne as Deputy Transition Director. In 1999, they became Counsel to the Governor at the Office of the Governor in Idaho. In 2004, they moved to Perkins Coie LLP as an Attorney at Law. In 2005, they went to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Region X as Regional Administrator, appointed by President Bush with direct report to United States Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Stephen L. Johnson. In 2006, they became Counselor to the Secretary at the United States Department of the Interior. In 2009, they were Senior Counsel at Crowell & Moring LLP. In 2012, they became a Shareholder at Parsons Behle & Latimer. L. Michael is currently the General Counsel at Perpetua Resources, a position they have held since 2018.
L. Michael Bogert obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Idaho in 1985 and a B.A. in Theirtory from Santa Clara University in 1979. L. Michael also holds certifications from the District of Columbia Bar (2010), United States Supreme Court (1992), California State Bar (1991), United States District Court, Eastern District of California (1991), United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit (1990), Idaho State Bar (1986), and United States District Court, District of Idaho (1986).
