Erik Portillo

Erik Portillo has a strong background in product management, with experience in both the technology and finance industries. Erik is currently a Senior Product Manager at Petal, where they focus on the acquisition side of the credit card business, including application flow, integrations with third-party affiliates, and fraud prevention. Prior to that, Erik worked at Amazon Web Services as a Senior Technical Product Manager, where they were responsible for defining and structuring private pricing strategies. Erik has also worked as a Product Manager at TuSimple, where they were involved in defining product requirements for autonomous trucks. Erik has a Master of Business Administration degree from Yale School of Management. Erik has interned at IBM as a Product Manager intern and worked as a Business Analyst at CarMax. Early in their career, they gained experience as a Software Developer intern at Amazon.

Erik Portillo pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Princeton University. Following this, they attended the Yale School of Management from 2018 to 2020, where they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
