Maryam Henson

VP, Institutional Partnerships at The Pew Charitable Trusts

Maryam Henson is vice president for partnerships at The Pew Charitable Trusts, where she oversees the planning and implementation of the organization’s fundraising strategy, helping to steward current partners and increase external support for key initiatives.

Prior to joining Pew, Henson was associate vice president for central development at George Washington University, where she supervised a team that oversaw fundraising for cross-university initiatives and presidential priorities. Before her work at George Washington University, Henson served as executive director of the office of fellowships, awards, and research, and then as director of corporate and foundation relations, at Georgetown University. She is a longtime leader and educator on institutional, research, and industry partnerships, having founded the National Capital Region CFR Directors Networking Group, served on the national board of the Network of Academic Corporate Relations Officers, and developed a nationally ranked Fulbright awards program that created opportunities for hundreds of Americans overseas.

Henson holds a Juris doctor and a bachelor of science in foreign service, both from Georgetown University. She is a member of the bar of the State of Maryland.
