Job description

PGH Wong Engineering, Inc. is one of the nation's leading firms in the transit industry, offering clients comprehensive engineering, construction management, and project/program management services for large scale public works projects with a major emphasis on transit systems.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop civil engineering plans, profiles, diagrams, 3D models, utilities, and other drawings in AutoCAD and Civil 3D in accordance with transit agency standards and specifications.

  • Interface and Coordinate with the owner, engineers, architects, other engineering disciplines, and third-party stakeholders to advance project design documents.

  • Assist in the preparation of Construction Plans and Specifications for client submissions.

  • Ensures compliance of design with applicable codes and regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Registered Professional Engineer in California is preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Civil Engineering.

  • Relevant experience involving major transportation, transit, and/or land development projects.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proactive coordination and excellent written and oral communications skills are required.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Ability to prepare plans in AutoCAD with minimal direction.

  • Ability to develop roadway and/or railway alignments, site grading plans, layout pipe networks utilizing Civil 3D, and plan details.

  • Knowledge of civil utilities and storm drainage systems, earthwork, and minor structures, such as retaining walls and drainage culverts.

  • Knowledge of Right of Way mapping, including the understanding legal descriptions, easements, and assessor’s maps.

  • General knowledge of trackwork, railroad operations, and systems, and major structures is desired, but not required.
