Xandra Fileccia has a diverse work experience in various industries. Xandra started their career in 2013 as a Reviews Editor at Five Cent Sound Magazine, where they managed writers and participated in events and fundraisers. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Sales Associate at Boston Bead Company, where they handled sales, managed the store, and taught jewelry repair. In 2015, they worked as a Team Captain at sweetgreen, where they trained employees and ensured customer satisfaction.
In 2016, Fileccia took on multiple roles simultaneously. Xandra worked as a Research Videographer at Tufts University and as a Director of Marketing at H. Levenbaum Insurance Agency. In these roles, they conducted research-related videography work and managed marketing campaigns, email marketing, social media, and PR.
Fileccia also worked as the Director of Marketing at Chill on Park, a community-oriented ice cream and coffee shop, where they directed marketing, public relations, content creation, and managed the social media team. Additionally, they co-owned and co-directed/co-produced a film called Dammed Shawsheen, focusing on dam removal in New England.
From 2017 to 2021, Fileccia worked at Whole Foods Market, starting as a Produce Team Member and progressing to roles such as Produce Supervisor, Produce Associate Team Leader, and Senior Coordinator, Community Programs. In these positions, they managed sales, purchasing, and labor targets, developed vendor relationships, resolved team issues, and mentored team members. Xandra also adapted to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2020, Fileccia briefly worked as a Freelance Technology Editor at Slickdeals, where they edited and fact-checked technology articles. Finally, in 2021, they joined Philabundance as a Senior Coordinator, Community Programs, where they are responsible for coordinating community programs, maintaining food safety compliance, analyzing data, and expanding program capabilities. Xandra has also adapted to the increased demand for healthy food during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Xandra Fileccia completed their high school education at Smithtown High School East from 2007 to 2011, earning their high school diploma. Afterwards, they pursued higher education at Emerson College from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism.
