Courtney Johnson

Courtney Johnson has extensive experience in human resources and administration. Courtney most recently worked as the Chief Administrative Officer at the Philadelphia Zoo, where they provided strategic leadership and oversight in areas such as human resources, labor relations, workplace safety, and risk management. Prior to this, they held roles as the Vice President of Human Resources and the Director of Human Resources at the Philadelphia Zoo, where they were responsible for developing and implementing human resources strategies and maintaining key internal relationships. Courtney also has experience in organizational development, project management, and as a Human Resources Manager, where they oversaw staffing, recruiting, training, and benefits administration. Before their time at the Philadelphia Zoo, they worked at Target as an Executive Team Leader, where they were responsible for employment functions and talent acquisition. Overall, Courtney Johnson's work experience demonstrates a strong background in human resources and a track record of leadership and strategic planning.

Courtney Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations from the University of Delaware. In addition to their degree, they have obtained various certifications throughout their career. In 2015, they received the SHRM- Senior Certified Professional certification from SHRM. Recently, in 2021, they earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute and the Performance Measurement for Effective Management of Nonprofit Organizations certification from the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education.
