Paul Kelly

Paul Kelly has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies in the software engineering field. Paul is currently working as a Software Engineer IV at Phoenix Defense, LLC since July 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Principal Software Engineer at MAK Technologies from July 2019 to July 2021. Before joining MAK Technologies, Paul worked at Cubic Corporation for almost 9 years, where they held multiple roles including Principal Lead Software Engineer, Supervisor of Software Engineering, and Senior Software Engineer. Paul also gained experience as a Senior Software Engineer at Engineering and Computer Simulations from February 2003 to July 2010.

In addition to their industry experience, Paul also served as an Advisory Board Member for IGDA from 2005 to 2008. Paul started their career as a Software Engineer at n-Space in 1998 and worked there until 2001. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Electronic Arts (Tiburon) from September 1997 to July 1998.

Paul's early career included serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Institute for Simulation and Training from 1993 to 1996. Overall, Paul Kelly has accumulated significant experience and expertise as a software engineer, progressing through various roles and companies throughout their career.

Paul Kelly attended several educational institutions during their academic journey. Paul first enrolled at St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati in 1984, where they completed their studies in 1985. Afterward, they attended Bishop Kenny High School from 1985 to 1988. Following their time at the high school level, Paul Kelly pursued a degree in Computer Science at Stetson University from 1988 to 1990, but the specific degree obtained is unknown. Paul then furthered their education at the University of Central Florida from 1990 to 2000, where they earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master's degree in Computer Science. In addition to their formal education, Paul Kelly obtained a certification in "Pattern-Oriented Software Architectures for Concurrent and Networked Mobile Devices and Clouds" from Coursera in May 2013.
