Nijan Yogal is a Research and Development Engineer at Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) since November 2013, focusing on explosion-proof electric drive systems. Prior experience includes roles at Bombardier Transportation, conducting thermal modeling and testing of innovative power converters, and Schenck Rotec GmbH, where Nijan performed measurements and balancing on drive systems. Academic contributions include lecturing at Kantipur Engineering College on electrical machines and power electronics, along with research on renewable energy integration. Nijan holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Technische Universität Braunschweig, a Master of Science in Electrical Power Engineering from Technische Universität Darmstadt, and a Bachelor's degree from Kathmandu University.
