Department and Research Heads

The Department and Research Heads at Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) lead various specialized teams to advance precision measurements and metrology. They oversee research groups and departments dedicated to fields such as kinetics, explosion protection, industrial metrology, biochemistry, cryosensor technology, quantitative MRI, quantum technology, electrical quantum metrology, and radiometry. Their primary role is to drive innovation, ensure reliability in measurements, and uphold PTB’s standing as the highest technical authority in metrology under the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
