William Palacios

William Palacios has a diverse work experience in software development and leadership roles. William is currently working as a Software Engineering Lead at pieFi since October 2021. Prior to this, they were the Founder & CEO of Topnotch since February 2020.

During their time at PayPal from October 2021 to September 2022, they served as a Senior Software Developer. At eBay, they worked as a Senior Software Developer from November 2020 to October 2021, where they focused on the migration of Java services to Node.js and legacy UI to React.js components.

Before that, William worked at Nicasource where they held multiple roles. William served as a Software Developer Tech & Team Lead from September 2019 to March 2021, working on architectural and tech/team lead responsibilities. William also worked as a Senior Software Developer, involved in the development of core features for a State Machine project and packaging a chatbot library as a Nuget package. Additionally, they worked as a Senior Software Developer at Versa Agency for enterprise web apps and for Cares Victoria ONG, building enterprise-level web applications.

Prior to these roles, they served as a Software Development Team Lead at OOQIA, focusing on the UFC Nutrition Application and leading software development teams. William also worked as a Senior Software Developer Team Lead on multiple website projects for clients in the USA.

Earlier in their career, William worked as a Mid-Senior Software Developer at SINSA, focusing on full-stack .Net MVC software development. William also started their career as a Junior Software Developer at VERSATEC (Versatile Technology Inc.).

Prior to that, from 2018 to 2020, they studied at Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de México (UNINI México) and earned a master's degree in Strategic Management in Software Engineering, with a specialization in Information Technology.
