Carsten Schmidt has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries and roles. Carsten started their career as a Stagiare at the European Parliament in 2005. Carsten then worked as a Destination Manager at Atlantis Rejser from 2008 to 2009. From 2010 to 2011, Carsten served as a Marketing Manager at Studentum.

In 2011, they joined Klikki AB as a Senior SEO/Digital Marketing Consultant and later became the Consulting Team Lead. Carsten successfully managed major accounts and implemented scalable strategies to maximize ROI. Carsten also led a team of consultants, ensuring they deliver world-class results by leveraging emerging technologies.

From 2016 to 2018, Carsten worked at Academic Work Sweden as the Group Online Lead Manager. In this role, they spearheaded various initiatives, such as marketing automation, SEO/SEM, programmatic advertising, and CRO, to optimize the customer journey and generate quality leads.

Carsten then joined Matsmart Scandinavia AB in 2018 as the Head of Digital Marketing. Carsten was responsible for driving digital marketing initiatives, managing agencies and budgets, and reducing the company's customer acquisition cost while achieving impressive growth.

In 2020, Carsten moved to Scandic Hotels as the Head of Performance Marketing. Despite the challenges posed by COVID-19 and limited international travel, Carsten's team delivered exceptional results, surpassing previous performance marketing records.

Currently, Carsten is the Head of Performance Marketing at Pierce Group - Riders in Ecommerce, a position they started in 2022.

Carsten Schmidt earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Anthropology from Aarhus University, where they studied from 2000 to 2005. Carsten then pursued a Master's degree in European Studies at the same university from 2005 to 2008. In addition to their academic qualifications, Carsten also obtained certifications as a Google AdWords Certified Professional in April 2016 and Google Analytics Individual Qualification in November 2016. In terms of other education experience, Carsten attended Bishop's University from 2002 to 2003, where they received a BA Honours in Sociology.
