Jarred Nix has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Jarred started their career as an Operations Intern at Shell Oil Company in 2012, where they focused on mechanical work related to piping and vessel standards. Jarred'smain project involved sizing and scoping a booster compressor.

After completing their internship, Nix joined Shell in 2013 and held multiple roles over the years. Jarred worked as a Field Engineer and Surface Surveillance Engineer before transitioning to the role of Reliability Engineer. In 2015, they became a Turnaround Engineer, responsible for coordinating and managing maintenance shutdowns. In 2017, Nix was promoted to Operations Engineer, overseeing day-to-day operations.

In 2019, Nix joined Pieridae Energy Limited as a Facilities Engineer, where they contributed to the design and maintenance of facilities.

Nix's most recent role is with Shell, where they hold the position of Sr. Operations Engineer, starting in 2022.
