Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for representing Pillar Biosciences’ Next Gen Sequencing (NGS) solution and clinical trials capabilities to potential pharmaceutical collaboration partners, national pathology networks and commercial reference laboratories.

This is a remote, field-based role that will require travel to our Natick, MA headquarters and to conferences and clients in the EMEA region. The successful candidate can be located anywhere in Europe, and does not have to be located in France.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage all pharmaceutical entities currently involved in oncology-related clinical trials.
  • Work closely with cross-functional team to determine compatibility of Pillar Biosciences NGS solution with specific clinical trial requirements.
  • Assume commercial leadership role in expanding Pillar Biosciences’ NGS oncology testing in all national pathology networks, hospitals, and commercial reference laboratories as defined by Pillar Biosciences senior management.
  • Build and lead high performing commercial organization including sales, marketing, customer support and customer service.
  • Develop and implement appropriate go-to-market strategy specific to the identified markets of interest including direct sales and engagement of distribution partners.
  • Collaborate with national health systems across the EMEA region to influence reimbursement strategies and create compelling cases for companion diagnostics.
  • Adapt all Pillar marketing collateral, branding and messaging for all identified markets
  • Accurately forecast projected test volumes to Operations.
  • Provide customer feedback to appropriate functional area within Pillar Biosciences.
  • Conform to all tenets within Pillar Biosciences’ Quality System.

Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in business or life sciences preferred
  • Ten plus years of demonstrable success in complex selling to C-Level audience in healthcare market (in vitro diagnostic, medical device, pharmaceutical, etc.)
  • Five plus years of demonstrable success in sales leadership in healthcare market (in vitro diagnostic, medical device, pharmaceutical, etc.)
  • Proven track record of building a high performing sales team from the ground level including sourcing, hiring, training, and developing an elite professional organization.
  • Proven track record of successfully engaging and managing third party distribution relationships
  • Must take initiative and be detail-oriented, well organized and have ability to meet forecast deadlines and perform in a fast-paced work environment – work with a sense of urgency.
