Rustam Aliyev

Rustam Aliyev is the current CTO at PillSorted. Rustam has also held the position of Head Of Engineering at Axora from March 2020 to May 2022. All things Cassandra and Spark fall under their responsibilities in this role. Prior to that, they were the CTO at OneDome from March 2015 to March 2019 where they oversaw the Azure/cloud migration. Rustam was also responsible for the development of indirect monetisation (ad) services. From March 2014 to March 2015, Rustam was a Solutions Architect at DataStax where they again managed all things Cassandra and Spark. From June 2012 to March 2014, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Skype where they were responsible for Azure/cloud migration as well as the development of indirect monetisation (ad) services. Rustam began their career in May 2008 as a Solution Architect at Muzicall where they supported pre-sales in EMEA for the major mobile operators including Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Three, and others. In August 2005, they became a Co-founder and CTO at Limon which they held until March 2008. Rustam then took on the role of System Administration Team Head at Azercell, TeliaSonera from March 2003 to August 2006. Rustam ended their time at Azercell, TeliaSonera as a Co-founder and CTO at Box.az from January 2000 to July 2006.

Rustam Aliyev has a MSc in Engineering and Management of Information Systems from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and a BSc in Computer Science from Azerbaijan State Oil Academy. Rustam also has certifications from Coursera in Introduction to Machine Learning in Production, Amazon Web Services (AWS) in AWS Certified Solutions Architect, and Coursera in Neural Networks and Deep Learning.
