Karen Horstmann

Karen Horstmann has a strong background in real estate investment and portfolio management. Karen is currently working as the Head of Acquisitions at Allianz Real Estate, a position they have held since 2019. Prior to this, Karen served as a Portfolio Manager at Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM) from 2011 to 2019, where they were responsible for managing a portfolio of equity, fixed income, and real estate assets for the Norwegian Government Pension Fund Global. During their time at NBIM, they successfully built the US investment team after securing a mandate to directly invest in US real estate. Karen also has experience as a Co-Founder at Meyer Bergman from 2006 to 2011, as well as a Vice President at Dubai Investment Group from 2005 to 2006. Karen'scareer started at Goldman Sachs, where they worked as an Analyst in the Real Estate Principal Investment Area from 1999 to 2003.

Karen Horstmann attended Harvard Business School from 2003 to 2005, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Prior to that, they attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree. Karen'smajor was Finance, and they also pursued a minor in Spanish.
