Alexander Benetti

Alexander Benetti has a strong background in energy trading and commercial operations. Alexander most recently served as the SVP of Structuring and Trading at Pine Gate Renewables since 2023. Prior to that, they were the Director and Head of Trading (East) at AES Clean Energy, where they oversaw trading operations and developed commercial strategies for renewables and energy storage. Alexander also held various roles at Duke Energy and Cinergy, where they managed power basis hedging and evaluated hedging programs for a fleet of generation assets. Additionally, Alexander had experience as a proprietary equity trader at Heartland Securities and worked as a screen clerk intern at Merrill Lynch.

Alexander Benetti attended Carnegie Mellon University - Tepper School of Business from 1995 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance. Alexander also studied Finance, General at Carnegie Mellon University during the same period.
