Amanda Smith

Amanda Smith has extensive work experience in the renewable energy field. Amanda is currently working as the Sr. Director of Operations at Pine Gate Renewables, where they oversee and optimizes the operations and maintenance of solar assets. Previously, Amanda held the position of Director of Operations and Maintenance at National Renewable Energy Corporation. Prior to that, they worked as a Renewable Energy Monitor/Operator at Duke Energy Corporation. Amanda also has experience in public relations, having served as a Public Relations Intern at Centralina Council of Governments. Additionally, they have worked as a real estate agent and a stylist/manager at SPORTCLIPS. Amanda holds a degree in Sustainability Studies.

Amanda Smith obtained an Associate's Degree in Sustainability Studies from Central Piedmont Community College from 2015 to 2017. Amanda then pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science in Energy Management at Franklin University from 2018 to 2023. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Post-Construction BMP Inspection from Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service in 2023 and in KT Problem Solving and Decision Making from Kepner-Tregoe in 2021.
